Ronnie Scott Sextet; Dick Pearce Quartet/Quintet
Biography: His father was a singer and his cousin a pianist/arranger. Started private trumpet lessons at 13, but taught himself harmony. 1968-71 played in a military band and then worked with Graham Collier from 71-72. From 1973-80 he played with the younger generation of London musicians including Chris Biscoe, Dave Defries and Brian Abrahams. He later worked with Mike Westbrook, Keith Tippettt, Dudu Pukwana and Gil Evans. In 1981 he joined Ronnie Scott's group.
